Art is all around us. From the way trees change color each season, to the way the motor of a car whirs. Art is in essence – creativity, innovation and thinking out of the box, and art inculcated in a curriculum brings out the best of a child’s problem-solving and inventive skills.

Karachi Biennale Educational programming workshop 2022 ‘Collective Imagination: Now and the Next’ focused on the integration of Robotics, Science and Engineering with Arts for a youth who is increasingly connecting and speaking in the language of digital data. Along the STEM cores of

  • Mathematics

students designed a Robotic hand, along with Mini Bots which followed a light source, and Artistic Bots which drew on paper. Building circuits, learning about Flex Sensors and the use of joints present in our body, and applying this knowledge to inventions promoted the students’ capability of thinking beyond the box thus making future creators, thinkers, problem solvers, doers, innovators, and inventors.
