On August 13, 2024, Saifiyah Girls School observed its Investiture Ceremony and Independence Day for the academic session 2024-25. This Investiture Ceremony is a solemn occasion where the school entrusts young students with leadership roles and responsibilities, reflecting the school’s confidence in its budding leaders.
The ceremony commenced with Tilawat-ud-Dua and flag hoisting by the Principal, J. Sh. Mustafa Bhai Najmi. This was followed by the acknowledgement of the Student Council for the year 2023-24, who were awarded certificates in recognition of their selfless service. The event was marked by the presentation of badges and sashes to the newly appointed Prefectorial Body with great enthusiasm and ceremony.
The student council nominees for the 2024-25 session underwent a rigorous interview process conducted by a panel of teachers. Based on their performance, Zainab Imran of Class X A was appointed as Head Girl, and Alifya Mustafa of Class X A was selected as Vice Head Girl. The other members of the Student Council, including the House Captains and prefects, presented themselves with pride in their pristine uniforms.
Principal Janab Sh. Mustafa Najmi addressed the students, emphasizing on the theme Hubbi Lakum, as expressed by Aqa Maula TUS, is the soul of Daim ul Islam and guides all our deeds and endeavors. It is through HIS Love that we find the strength and taufeeq to perform our duties and responsibilities. As we gather to celebrate our nation’s Independence Day and the Investiture Ceremony, we are reminded of the profound love for our country, our school, and each member of our community as a student, teacher and domestic staff, are the unsung heroes, shaping minds and touching hearts in ways that may often be unseen but are always felt. Also, as the silent guardians of this community.
This year’s theme, Hubbi Lakum, was prominently showcased in a play prepared by the Dinyat Faculty, highlighting the significant role of the Sadat Kiraam in the struggle for independence. Engaging skits by students of classes VI, VII, and X instilled a sense of nationalism among the audience. Additionally, students from classes VIII and IX recited poems in both English and Urdu, while students from Class IX and X delivered speeches underscoring the importance of Independence Day.
The event also featured a cake-cutting ceremony led by our esteemed trustee, Hussain Bhai Baghsra, accompanied by the principal and other dignitaries. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of delicious brownies to students from grades I-X.
