Teachers’ Day

In this crisis, teachers have shown, as they have done so often, great leadership and innovation in ensuring that no learner is left behind. SGS Teachers have worked individually and collectively to find solutions and create new learning environments for their students to allow education to continue. Their role advising on school reopening plans and supporting students with the return to school is just as important. And what better time to celebrate the significance of a teacher than 5th October when Teacher’s Day is celebrated. Students of Classes IX and X had planned it wonderfully.

On reaching school, right at the entrance the teachers were welcomed by beaming students of Grade 10, chanting Happy Teacher’s Day” and presenting them with a long-stemmed, fragrant, deep red rose .

As the day advanced, teachers were bedazzled by one surprise after another. The staffroom had been tastefully decorated with multi colored dotted balloons and Happy Teacher’s Day shined in the center, emphasized by golden-colored metallic balloons.

During the break time a chocolaty rich and decadent mousse was served for refreshment.

After the namaz break was filled with the excitement of students presenting an alluring card to their teachers with a heartwarming quote printed in vibrant colors.

The day ended with a session of the most loved activity of today’s youth: photographs and selfies. Students had prepared a specialized frame to get the most memorable photos of this day.

This day would be surely remembered by all the teachers for the good memories and the surprises and love showered upon them by the students of Grade X.
